Conceptual Foundations of Word of Life Church
The "Word of Life" church of Armenia is an evangelical Christian church that does not originate from a separation from another church but has a completely independent beginning. From 1988 to 1990, it existed as a group of Christian believers who prayed together, and over time it grew into a church with thousands of followers. We confess the Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The foundation of our faith and doctrine is the Holy Bible, consisting of the 66 canonical books.
We believe that the primary mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel of salvation to the nations until the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are a missionary church, spreading the Good News not only in Yerevan and in the regions but also beyond the borders of Armenia. By fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ, we are building spiritual revival in our nation.
We believe that the calling of the church is to proclaim the Gospel not only through words, but also through good works. God’s care and compassion for people are expressed through the charitable ministry of the church.
We believe in the unity of the universal Church. We consider ourselves an integral part of the global Body of Christ and treat other Christian churches with respect. We regard inter-church fellowship as important. As a guiding principle, we follow this formula: “In primary matters – unity; in secondary matters – liberty; in all things – love.”
We believe that the family is God’s creation. A strong family is the foundation of a strong church and a state. Encouraging godly family models and Christian family values is essential for the development of our society and the preservation of its moral character.
We believe that the progress of a nation requires a strong, mutual connection between the Christian faith and moral principles, and various fields of human activity, such as education and science, culture and the arts.
We believe that the Church and the State, being distinct in their nature, are not called to interfere in each other’s internal life and activities. However, cooperation between them in certain areas—such as spiritual and social care for vulnerable groups, the prevention of criminal behavior and harmful habits, the promotion of Christian morality and education—can greatly benefit the well-being of society.

We believe that every saved and born-again Christian is called to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. This becomes possible when a believer is established in the church. Discipleship, the preaching of God’s Word, and spiritual education are among our essential works, aimed at bringing people closer to the Lord so that they may know God and serve Him.
We believe that prayer and worship are vital pillars of church life. God is worthy of receiving the highest worship, gratitude, and adoration from our hearts. Prayer is a powerful means of communion and cooperation with the Lord.
We believe that the church and politics should not be intertwined. The church, as a spiritual institution, cannot engage in political campaigning or support political parties. At the same time, Christians—as citizens of the Republic of Armenia—are free to determine their political views independently, according to their own convictions and conscience.
Word of Life Church encourages its members to be law-abiding and places no restrictions on celebrating state holidays, birthdays, or other personal occasions.
The church considers artificial abortion, cloning, euthanasia, homosexuality, and gender reassignment to be entirely unacceptable.
